When you say A-La-Carte, what exactly does that mean?

          A-La-Carte dinning is about being able to decide from a list of many different dishes, we take it a step further. We prepare your meal as you order it, nothing is pre-cooked or pre-prepared. None of our sauces or bases comes from a pre-fabricated mix, all are made from the freshest ingredients. This allows you to make changes to the menu if it is required. For example, you don't like mushrooms or you love mushrooms, we can remove or add them according to your needs. All you need to do is ask.

          Because we believe a meal is to be enjoyed, every dish is made from the base up as ordered. Time is taken to ensure it is just right, succulent steaks, rich decadent pastas, plump prawns, they all take time. Sit back and relax, enjoy a glass of wine and be prepared to indulge your senses.

 

Do you cater to Dietary restrictions?

 

Celiac : We can cook most dishes in Rice Flour or Soy Flour on request. All tomato based sauces contain Flour, we require 3 working days notice if you wish us to substitute a Rice/Soy based product.

Lactose Intolerance : We are a Northern Italian Restaurant, therefore most meals are cooked with butter instead of oil, we can however cater to those who require their meal cooked in oil. All tomato based sauces contain Butter, we require 3 working days notice if you wish us to substitute an olive oil based product.

Vegetarian : We have a selection on the current menu of vegetarian dishes plus vegetarian dishes that can be prepared with notice, changes can be made to dishes if required.

  • Fettuccini ai Funghi - Ribbon noodles with Mushrooms, you can have this in a cream panna sauce or with a rich tomato, fresh herb and chilli sauce.
  • Gnocchi di Patate - Potato dumplings served in a tomato and herb sauce with a dash of cream OR in a burnt butter, caramelised onion and sage sauce.
  • Bruschetta - Toasted bread topped with cheese, onions, tomato, garlic and fresh herbs
  • Formaggio Fritto - Deep fried camembert wedges, crumbed with almonds, served on a fresh strawberry sauce
  • Risotto - Onion, Mushroom and Broccoli creamy risotto
  • Insalata di Pomodore e Melanzana*** - Tomato, Fresh Mozarella and Eggplant served with a Basil and olive oil dressing.
  • Vegetarian Lasagna*** - layers of fresh pasta, bechamel sauce and a tomato and vegetable sauce with cheese, oven baked.

All of these Dietary changes to the menu do require 3 working days notice, so please advise us at time of booking.

Why am I being charged Corkage for bringing my own wine?

When dining in a fully licensed restaurant there are a few things you should be aware of, especially when it comes to corkage. We don't charge you corkage because it is added revenue. We need to take into account glassware (both purchases and breakages), disposal of empty bottles, many kilos of ice, additional staff to pour, serve, decantering if required, keeping your bottle chilled, the storage of the bottles, the cost of the laundry (red wine stains alway are hard work) and the cost of a liquor license. We therefore charge a reasonable corkage to offset these costs.

Many people argue about the high price of restaurant supplied wines, in addition to the above stated reasons, when a restaurant has a liquor license and wine list, their staff must have participated and be accredited in "responsible alcohol service". Most restaurants are unable to buy wine in bulk in the same way a liquor store can, we don't have copious amounts of storage, and then you also have to factor in breakages.

In charging you for corkage, we are not trying to penalise you for bringing in your own wine, we are happy for you to do so, corkage is merely charged to ensure that we are not penalised for letting you.

I have an Entertainment Card, can I use this with a Set Menu?

The Entertainment Card allows you a discount of 25% off the total bill to the value of $40. We allow you to use up to 3 cards per booking group. We do allow you to take advantage of the Entertainment Card even with the Set Menu's (Business Lunch is the exception). Please produce your card(s) when requesting your account to receive your discount.

Only exceptions are Valentine's Day and Weddings/Functions held outside of our normal business hours.

 

I have a Quiz Night Voucher, can I use this with a Set Menu, and are there any limitations?

Quiz Night Vouchers can only be used Tuesday to Friday, without exception. They are not valid with any other offer, so you are not able to use them with a Set Menu. All Quiz Night Vouchers are for use on Food Only, we do no accept BYO, (as we are fully licensed), when you are dinning on a voucher.

You must clearly state when making the reservation that you are using a Quiz Night Voucher, or you may not be eligible to use it.

Quiz Night vouchers are valid to their use by date, however if you contact management PRIOR to their ending we maybe able to extend the time. This however is at the discretion of Management.

Quiz Night Vouchers can not be used from the first Tuesday in November to Christmas Eve.
